Experimental Study on the Seismic Performance of Hollow Columns with Fiber Lightweight Aggregate Concrete

To study the seismic performance of hollow columns with fiber lightweight aggregate concrete, a quasi-static test on eight concrete under lateral low-cycle reversed loading and axial force is presented in this article. The effects dosage plastic-steel fibers (0, 3, 6 9 kg/m3, respectively), steel (25, 50 75 respectively) compression ratio (0.4 0.6, mechanical properties such as capacity load, stiffness, ductility energy dissipation were investigated, main failure morphology mechanism revealed. results showed that (1) modes could be divided into shear failure, bending-shear bending failure; (2) compared specimens without fiber, increase coefficient was 2~33.7%, 30.8~125.7%; cumulative 5.3~43.7%, 88.9~203.8%, thus indicating improved effectively via incorporation fibers. formula load proposed, its calculation more reliable when actual project. A foundation for further research provided.
